Industrial Exoskeletons: No Longer Just Science Fiction .

Our Technology Showcase Team had a great time creating a video to show the usefulness of a new industrial exoskeleton to protect the lower back.  You can use it to prevent injury, help a person lift more weight, or reduce the number of people required to lift something heavy.  Can you guess which science fiction movie we based our video on?  😊

Robotics at Plant Bowen

Here is a link to an article about Plant Bowen’s use of robots for boiler inspections.  This is a great use of robotic technology to help us save money and improve safety and efficiency.  Good work Plant Bowen!

Starting off 2018 with Innovation Hackathons

Our innovation team kicked off 2018 with a series of innovation hackathons.  We completed two for Plant Scherer, one for the E&CS Leadership Forum, and an abbreviated one for the Technology Organization Office of the CIO.  At this point, we are up to speed on how to organize these hackathons, and we plan to make them regular offering like the Technology Showcase.
